The moment I developed a desire for bead work was when my mother bought me my first bead loom. It was a simple and cheap loom, mainly meant for children, and probably didn't cost her more than a few dollars, and this was twenty years ago. Although the beads and thread that were provided with the little kit were cheap and irregular, I had such a fun time making my little "American Indian" jewellery. Having native American blood in my ancestry just added to my fascination with their beading.
As I grew older my interest in beading branched out into other styles and forms and eventually led me to make jewellery as an overall whole, not limiting myself to beads (though they are still my favourite).
Though I began my journey at a mere twelve years of age, life inevitable got in the way. Mainly money to buy the proper supplies needed to make high quality jewellery. Now however, I have started a new life in Australia (my father's birth place). With this new life has come a new determination to build an existence that is filled with things that make me happy and give me satisfaction.
I have a wonderfully supportive hubby and family, and far more manageable money and time. Now I am enjoying rekindling that passion for jewellery making I first glimpsed as a child and wish to share it with you. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and please feel free to contact me any time.
Cheers,
Chyina
